Why We Exist
Supplements should be boringly honest
India buys more protein every year and still gets less proof than almost any market in the world. We decided to be the brand that over-shares.
Amino spiking, undeclared fillers, protein assays that don't match the panel — we found all of it when we sent competitor tubs to an accredited lab in 2018. That single spreadsheet became the reason this company exists.
Our answer wasn't louder marketing. It was a QC bench, a batch code on every tub, and a public report archive that anyone can search — including the reports where a batch failed and never shipped.

2018
A Garage, Two Racks, One Question
Aarav Mehta kept flipping tubs at the supply store asking a simple question nobody could answer: where is the lab report? Pure Protein Lab started as a spreadsheet of imported whey batches and their amino profiles.
2019
First 200 Tubs
Blended in a rented co-packing unit and sold to lifters from three Pune gyms. Every tub shipped with a printed COA stapled to the invoice. All 200 sold in eleven days.
2020
Going Own-Facility
Instead of scaling on contract manufacturing, we took the harder road — our own GMP line, our own QC bench, and a rule that no batch leaves without third-party testing.
2022
Isolate, Reformulated
27g protein, zero added sugar, digestive enzymes added. Reformulated eleven times with 60 athletes before we let it near a shelf.
2024
Open Lab Reports
Every batch code became publicly searchable. Heavy metals, protein assay, microbial — the full panel, published whether it flatters us or not.
2026
1.2 Million Tubs Later

FOUNDER STORY
From Strength Coach to Label Sceptic
Aarav spent six years coaching powerlifters in Pune. He watched clients eat clean, train hard, and still stall — then watched them spend a third of their monthly budget on tubs that arrived with nothing but a marketing claim.
In 2018 he sent nine popular tubs to an accredited lab out of his own savings. Four came back below their claimed protein. Two showed nitrogen inflation. He posted the results on a lifting forum, got asked "so what should we buy?", and had no answer.
Pure Protein Lab was his answer. He built it the slow way — own facility, own QC, published reports — because the shortcut was exactly what he was trying to fix.

Inside The Lab
Where The Name Comes From
Our facility in Pune runs an FSSAI-licensed, GMP-certified line with a HACCP plan and an in-house QC bench. Raw whey is quarantined on arrival and released only after identity and purity checks.
Every finished batch then goes to an NABL-accredited third-party lab for protein assay, heavy metals, microbial load and banned-substance screening. Failed batches are destroyed, logged and published.
